How to get there

From the South

Travelling from the South you may well come up to Bridlington via the A64 and turn off on the A166 towards Driffield. Or you may come up the M62 and the A614 towards Driffield. In either case once you have passed Driffield you will find yourself on the A614 towards Bridlington.

You will go through the small village of Carnaby and will come to a set of lights where you can go straight on to the A165 or turn right on the A165 (also signposted for the Hospital and if you need shopping, Morrisons, is just down here on the right). Go straight ahead at these lights.

Shortly you will come to two roundabouts close together. Go straight on at the first and then get immediately into the left hand lane to go left at the second roundabout onto Marton Road.

At a set of lights turn left up Bempton Lane signed for Bempton and Bempton Cliffs RSPB. Keep going to the end of the road (over the railway). We are almost exactly opposite the end of the road (look out for a blue sign on the wall). I think Sat Nav takes you astray and further into the village so don’t trust it at this point! You can drive behind the house into the courtyard for parking.

From the North

Travelling from Scarborough or the A64 / A170 you will find yourself driving South on the A165 to Bridlington.

Keep straight on this road until you come to a roundabout where you will take a left on the B1229 signed for Flamborough, Speeton and Reighton as well as a brown sign for the RPSB Bemtpon Cliffs. (Helpfully this roundabout is obvious as it has sculptures of a shepherd and sheep on it!).

Follow the B1229 all the way to Buckton Village. Just into the village you pass a duckpond on the left with a dirt track (Hoddy Cows Lane). We are just a few houses on the left almost opposite the right hand turn to Bridlington (Bempton Gate). Look out for the blue sign on our wall. You can drive into the courtyard behind the house for parking.

Getting around

We are perfectly located for trips to Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough, Whitby, Hull and The Wolds. Whilst a car is useful it is not essential as a regular bus service runs by the property. We also have a train station in the adjacent village (20 min walk) which runs up and down the coastline.
