How to get there
Stellenbosch is about a 30minute drive from Cape Town airport and 45minutes from central Cape Town.
Means of transport:
If you do not have your own car, we highly recommend either hiring one and/or using Uber or a similar service. The latter option is highly recommended when visiting wine farms and when dining out in the evenings. Otherwise, for short trips or little tours, one can hire bikes at various places in Stellenbosch.

Public transport between Cape Town and Stellenbosch is not very reliable. Whilst travelling by train is very affordable, the services are infrequent and slower than going by car

Getting around
Most guests hire a car while they are here, in order to explore the Winelands fully. But there is also Uber available in Stellenbosch. For the more energetic, one can rent a bike (or bring your own) as everything in town is within cycling distance. Alternatively, you can walk into town - the centre is just 2km. Once in town there is a very affordable Tuk Tuk service that provides a hop on / hop off service for exploring the town.
