How to get there
Arriving from Messina or Palermo on the highway A18, exit at Fiumefreddo and follow the same directions as “ARRIVING FROM CATANIA".
ARRIVING FROM CATANIA, upon leaving the airport, once past the overpass, bear left as you follow the road which leads to the highway A18 toward Messina. Stay on the right as you approach the ticket booths. Take a ticket at the booth and continue driving toward Messina exiting at “Fiumefreddo", the third exit on the highway after Acireale and Giarre.
At Fiumefreddo, avoid the booth marked “TELEPASS" by bearing right to pay the toll, which is 1.20 Euro today. After the toll booth, there is a rotary. Drive 3/4 around the rotary and follow the sign to Linguaglossa on the main 2-lane road known as SS120.

Getting around
Renting a car is recommended to explore Mt. Etna and eastern Sicily on day trips. Parking is available on the street. There is public transit by bus to and from Catania. There is also public transit by bus to the beach, Marina di Cottone. Busses stop two blocks from the townhome. The CircumEtnea, a narrow gauge railroad which wraps around Mt. Etna, leaves from Piazza Stazione, two-blocks from the townhome. This rail service is for sightseeing around Mt. Etna and to travel east to Giarre and Riposto and west to Randazzo.
