Bab Taghzout (pronounced bab Tarzout) is a neighborhood whose streets are full of history ... located north of the Medina, 15 minutes walk from Jemaa el Fna and a short drive from the Koutoubia and Bab Doukala. Unlike some neighborhoods, Bab Taghzout has not yielded to the sirens of tourism. Its narrow streets have retained a real village life: a market floor, small stores, a traditional oven where locals come cuirent bread.
