How to get there
Most visitors fly to Grenada on an international airline, AA, BA, Virgin, Air Canada, Jet Blue. LIAT, InterCaribbean etc. and then take SVG (St Vincent and Grenadines Airline) for a 20 minute flight or the daily ferry for about a 2 hour trip. It is relatively easy to book seats on the SVG flights once one has their definite arrival time in Grenada. Sometimes it is necessary to overnight at a guest house or hotel near the airport.
Of great importance is the fact that the baggage allowance is only 22 K and hand luggage is restricted-- make sure you see this on the website. Extra luggage is costly. Getting around
There is a system of privately owned small buses which operate from Hillsborough and service much of the more populated parts of the island. They run regularly past the main gate. However, Many guests walk everywhere. If for example, you want to spend the day at Anse La Roche and you do not have a rental vehicle, you will have to walk from Bogles. The access road to the top of the hill by the beach is in very poor condition. Or you can access by a rented boat. The tourist board can help you with options.
