If you arrive at Oporto Airport:

Options:

Metro (costs around 2,8 euros per ticket): take the only one there is, leave at TRINDADE and take the metro that goes to SANTO OVIDIO, leave at SAO BENTO. You will be at 500 meters from the flat, once you leave the metro station you will immediately see the Cathedral up in the hill, the apartment is just behind it.

If you are driving to Porto: Please note that Porto streets and traffic CAN BE A HASSLE AND QUITE DIFFICULT for those who drive for the first time. In this area of Porto, most of the streets are one way, and some GPS systems get lost if you type the address Rua de Dom Hugo, nº 41.

IF YOU FOLLOW THE GPS INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS AREA OF PORTO YOU WILL HAVE 99% CHANCES TO GET LOST FOR MORE THAN 45 MINUTES.

Don't hesitate to park the car and ask for directions from taxi drivers, police officer or anyone, Oporto people are quite friendly and they will help you without hesitation if you need.

The entrance of Dom Hugo street is in front in the statue of the man on a horse next to the Cathedral (please check the last 15 photos of the add) you may enter the street with your car and park free of charge. The street will seem narrow and impossible to drive, but trust me it is! There is plenty of parking space.

TAXI: 25/35 minutes, costs around 27/28 euros. Please note that most of taxi drivers from the airport get lost in Oporto City Center, so its better to show them this text in Portuguese that provided instructions on how to get to the apartment:

The address of the apartment is Rua de Dom Hugo, nº 41, MANOR HOUSE PORTO, once you get at the door, please knock using the iron handle. (we don’t use What’s up, only regular phone lines). Also please note that the day you arrive, if you need to contact us, please use the phone, as we can’t guarantee to answer quickly enough trough e-mail.
