How to get there

Mogro is a place in the coastal town of Miengo, which is located in the coastal region of Cantabria, and bounded by two rivers edge: the Pas, which flows in Mogro, and the Saja-Besaya, which flows between Cuchia and Suances, forming the estuary of San Martín of the sand.

Mogro is an area of great tourist attraction given the place in which it is located and, most importantly, a consequence of the estuary and the Mogro beach. Also close to other beaches of great interest including: Marzán, Los Caballos, Usgo, and Robayera; steep areas of great beauty and the most prominent islets group of Cantabria, formed by: rabbit Hutch, Urro minor and major Urro.

Also offers a wide range of entertainment options, since all kinds of activities can be done such as: Golf, horse riding, swimming, walking, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, fishing, etc.

In terms of historical and artistic heritage Mogro has even remnants of the lower Palaeolithic sites outdoors. Also highlights the parish church, from the beginning of the 16th century, with a tower, which served as a Bell Tower, to which was added the body of bells. It is also worth noting the Christ of the presbytery which has been recently restored in the workshops of the Diocesan Museum.

The main specialty of this area is fishing, primarily the capture of eels, so it has a gastronomy in which fish and seafood abound.
