Getting around
The best way to get around is by car as there are many lovely villages and vineyards to explore. However there are other ways to get around too. There is a good bus service to Carcassonne from the village of Couiza. There is also a train that runs twice a day for just a euro and goes to Limoux and Carcassonne that runs from Montazel less than 1km from the house. Couiza itself has several great boulangeries, 3-4 restaurants ranging in price, two bars and a supermarket on the outskirts just 1 km from the house where you will also find a bio supermarket and bio butcher. There is an 8-late in the center of the village. Further shopping is available in Limoux just 15km away, a lovely town to meander around.
