The most convenient way to get around kingston is by car. Private taxi operators are reasonable. For example from the apartment to somewhere like Marketplace will cost about $400 JMD or $3 US Dollars. To be honest having your own car to come and go as you please would have been my first choice. It can get pretty expensive for taxis when you want to leave Kingston and go to somewhere like Ochi Rios.
