How to get there

FR0M THE SOUTH

You will be driving past Dolgellau following Barmouth signs.

Go through Tal-y-Bont, Dyffryn Ardudwy, Llanbedr (there is a turning here near Victoria Hotel but on your first day could be daunting!), therefore:-

Go through Llanbedr and carry on along this road until you see Llanfair slate caverns on your right, carry on until you see crossroads with sign for Llandannwg Beach on your left, TAKE THE RIGHT HAND TURN, go up to the next Junction, GO LEFT, until you see a T-Junction with (signs for cycle path in blue and some yellow signs with picture of birds) go RIGHT here. Contine along this road for approx 1 mile, there is another crossroads (phone box on left) and a sign for CWM BYCHAN on your right, go RIGHT, pass waterworks on the left, pass Maes-yr-Aelfor Farm Cottages on your left and continue until you will see a house on your left on the side of the road called Bryn Gwyn.

Go LEFT through the gate with Tyddyn-y-Felin plaque on it and follow the road down and park by the pond in the private car park.

FROM THE NORTH

You will be coming from Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Maentwrog, Talsarnau .

At the junction, take the RIGHT hand turn into Harlech, (going straight on would get you to the town centre but this other road is better on your first day).

When you get to the bottom of Harlech, pass the garage, over the railway crossing and continue passed Y Branwen Hotel on your left, up the hill and continue on this road without turning until you see a crossroads with Llandannwg Beach on your right.

GO LEFT at this crossroads and at the next junction go LEFT until you come to another T-Junction with (signs for cycle paths in blue and some yellow signs with picture of birds) go RIGHT here. Continue along this road for approx 1 mile, there is another crossroads (phone box on left) and a sign for CWM BYCHAN on your right, go RIGHT, pass waterworks on the left, pass Maes-yr-Aelfor Farm Cottages on your left and continue until you will see a house on your left on the side of the road called Bryn Gwyn.

Go LEFT through the gate with Tyddyn-y-Felin plaque on it and follow the road down and park by the pond in the private car park.
