Getting around
Faro is approx 50 minutes by car. Car Hire is is not expensive but price increases in the peak season. There are a number of companies providing transfers and a bus service to Lagoa, the nearest town to Carvoeiro. Taxis are reasonable to visit local areas. There is a hop on hop off bus which runs around Carvoeiro and villages and beaches in the vicinity which costs approx 12 Euro for 2 days. There are also local buses to other beaches and towns such as Alvor and Portimao.
