Getting around
The area of Ibla is famous for its archaeological sites. Many of the findings are kept in the Hyblaean Archaeological Museum. However, you can visit Kamarina, with remains of Hellenistic houses; Monte Arcibessi, with remains of the Bronze and Iron Age; Kaukana, with the remains of a Greek-Roman port city and a Byzantine settlement; Hybla Heraia, with remains of the Sicilian-Greek city found unearthed from the excavations carried out in Ragusa Ibla. A few kilometers from Ragusa is Scicli and Modica, famous for its chocolate, Modica is also a beautiful late-Baroque town.
