How to get there

From the M74 or M8 take the A82 to Loch Lomond. On reaching Tarbet junction follow A83 for Arrochar. Once in Arrochar village with the Arrochar Hotel to your left take a sharp left towards A814 Helensburgh. Drive along the loch road for about a mile passing the Three Villages Cafe, the Church and the Village Inn. Once you reach the Village Inn you are at the start of Admiralty Cottages and number 16 Admiralty is the last cottage with the Arrochar village sign in the property.

Getting around

Arrochar is well placed for touring by car with easy access to the beautiful towns of Inverary, Tarbert and Oban to the west or Stirling, Perth and Edinburgh to the east. Glencoe, Ballachulish and on to Fort William are around 1 hour 40 minutes drive to the north. Helensburgh for the Rennie Mackintosh Hill House is only 30 minutes drive and Glasgow for museums, art galleries and superb shopping is only 45 minutes drive. Arrochar and Tarbert station is situated on the scenic West Highland Rail Line for trains North to Fort William and on to Mallaig. Or alternatively head by train to Oban and catch a ferry to the inner Hebridean islands. Arrochar and Tarbet are also on the main bus route between Glasgow and Oban, Fort William and Skye.
