How to get there
The Villa is just 35 minutes away by road from Faro Airport with easy access from the A22 or N125 Autoroutes. Flights are available from most UK airports, Flight times are between 2 - 3 hours, depending on which airport you use. It is possible to drive down if you don;t like flying, but this can take 2 -3 days. Regular ferry routes also operate between Portsmouth and Plymouth and Santander/Bilbao. All the major car hire companies operate from Faro Airport, and is generally inexpensive. We advise you to book on line before departure for the best deals.
Getting around
In the 1960s the Algarve became a very popular destination for tourists, mainly from Britain. It has since become a common destination for Germans, Dutch and Irish people. Well-known beaches in the Algarve range from Praia da Marinha to Armacao de Pera. A well known spa town is Caldas de Monchique. The Algarve is a popular destination for tourism, primarily because of its beaches, Mediterranean climate. Also has some of the best golf courses.
