How to get there
please exit M6 at junction 36 and follow the A591 to the Lake District. You will pass by Kendal and need to follow signs for Windermere. Take the first left hand turn into Windermere Village (opposite The Windermere Hotel), going down the hill and follow the one way system, turning right at the lights past the Petrol Station. Pass WH Smiths on your left. Turn left just past the chruch (parking in limited). Foxgloves is located between Flames and Cumbrian Cottages up the stair case with the white railings. The entrance is NOT on College Road The address is 7a College Road LA23 1BU).
Getting around
Parking, there is unrestricted parking on College road or 1hr parking on Main street in Windermere until 6pm. There are also a couple of spaces just to the side of Cumbiran cottages. Car parking is very busy during the day but usually after 5 you can park outside of Cumbrian cottages and either leave you car for the duration of your stay or go off for the day and park again after 5 pm.Train and bus station 3 minutes walk away, Mountain Goat should you wish to book a tour. Buses run frequently and you can buy daily passes for exploring. Bike hire by train station you really won't be grounded. Numerous taxis available and mini cab office located at the bottom end of College Road. FREE parking is available on College road.
