How to get there
Directions from London
• Leave London on the M40 signposted for Oxford and Birmingham
• Turn off the M40 at Junction 8 onto the A40 signposted for Oxford and Cheltenham
• Follow the A40 around Oxford, continuing to follow signs for Cheltenham
• Continue on the A40 to the roundabout at Burford where you take the third exit into the town.
• At the bottom of Burford High Street, you go over the narrow bridge and take the first exit at the small roundabout and follow that road (A424) signposted Stow-on-the-Wold.
• After 9 miles (14.5kms) you reach a set of traffic lights where you take a right turn up the steep hill to Stow.
• Just past the BP Garage at the first set of traffic lights with the Unicorn on the corner, take a right turn into Sheep Street
• Follow the road for 400ms down the hill past the Old Butchers Restaurant on the right and No.14 is on the left with the black door
Directions from Bristol
• Leave Bristol travelling North on the M5
• Leave the M5 at Junction 11A onto the A417 following signs for Cirencester
• At the Roundabout by the Air Balloon Pub, take the 1st exit onto the A436
• Continue following the A436, staying on it as it crosses the A435 until you reach the A40.
• Turn left towards Cheltenham for 5/8 mile (1km) and turn right at the traffic lights rejoining the A436.
• Remain on the A436 for 9 miles (14.4kms) until you reach and turn left onto the A429.
• Continue along the A429 until you reach Stow and then follow directions as above.
Directions from Birmingham
• Leave Birmingham on the M40 heading South
• Leave the M40 at Junction 15 and take the A429 signposted to Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold.
• Continue on the A429 for 24 miles through Moreton-in-Marsh until you reach Stow-on-the-Wold.
• Proceed past the Tesco traffic lights, through the second set and at the third set, take a left turn.
• Follow directions as above…
Directions by Rail and Bus
• If travelling to Stow-on-the-Wold by train use Moreton-in-Marsh station (our nearest station) or Kingham Station from London (Paddington) or Cheltenham Spa if coming from the South West, Midlands and the North of England.
• From Moreton-in-Marsh station, catch the Pulhams ‘bus No. 801 to Stow which stops in the centre of town. This leaves a five minute walk down Digbeth Street, past The Porch House and a further 100m on the same side down Park Street to No.14.
• From Cheltenham Spa catch a ‘bus to Cheltenham Royal Wells and then Pulhams ‘bus 801 to Stow-on-the-Wold.
