How to get there
You can easily access Lefkas by car, as it is one of the only two islands in Greece that has land access from the mainland! If you arrive in Athens, it is a 4.5 hour drive, or you can take the intercity bus (KTEL) directly to Lefkas for a 5 hour drive. If you come from Thessaloniki, you can use the Egnatia Highway and with a 4.5 hour drive you can enjoy the beaches of Lefkas! From Preveza (Aktion) airport it's only a 25 minute drive, with daily intercity bus connection as well!

Getting around
Although the city is very small and can be explored on foot, in order to enjoy the beaches, you would most probably need a car, as, the bus services to most beaches are limited. You can take the local city bus for the beaches of Kastro and Agios Ioannis, or the inland bus service for Agios Nikitas, Milos and Kathisma on the west, or Nikiana, Nydri and Vasiliki on the east and south.
