How to get there
Road: Follow the A9 to Helmsdale. Approx 1/2 mile south of Helmsdale there is a turning signed to Gartymore. This is difficult to see if you are approaching from the south, but there is a warning sign of a junction on a bend, and there is a house on the North side of the turning.
This road is a single track road that goes steeply up the hill. Follow this to the cross roads, and go straight across, continuing up hill.
When the road levels out you will find Kate's Croft on the right hand side, there is parking outside the garage just past the house and garden.
The nearest train station and bus stops are both in Helmsdale, approximately 1.8 miles from the croft. The nearest airport is Inverness.

Getting around
The most convenient way to get around is by car. The train runs between Inverness and Wick, and can be a lovely trip in itself to see the scenery, but times are limited, so check the timetable to make sure there is a train back later in the day.
