How to get there
Southwest Florida International Airport is just twenty minutes away. The house is close to the entrance to the island. Its proximity to the causeway, the beaches, shops and restaurants enables guests to avoid island traffic. Sanibel's best beaches are just a 10-minute bike ride away.
Guests coming by car will find The Sun Castle very accessible. The house is located less than 20 minutes from I-75!
Guests wishing to visit Key West and the Florida Keys can take a ferry from Fort Myers Beach - just 15 minutes away. The ferry leaves to Key West in the morning and returns in the evening.

We highly recommend biking in Sanibel's 30 miles of bike paths to get the full island experience. Sanibel's famous Gulf beach is just an 8-minute bike ride from the house, thru the Bailey Road bike path and lightly travelled roads. The house's central location allows quick access to Sanibel's grocery stores, shops and beaches.
