Once you leave the airport, you will see a large roundabout with the sculpture of a plane on it, go straight; you will then come across another large roundabout; head straight and follow the traffic which will go towards Qormi(remain on the left hand side of the road) – the road also goes past the old airport). A few kilometers along this road, you will come to a large roundabout where you will also see a large church ahead of you; you are to take the road to the left which leads you to Zebbug and Mdina. Keep on this road for around 5 kms until you practically reach Mdina; you will notice that there is another large roundabout where the road to the left will take you to Mdina; you are to head straight on because the road to the right will take you to Valletta instead. Follow this road until you again come to a large roundabout; the first left takes you to Mdina, the second left takes you to Mtarfa and so you are to take the 3rd one which brings you onto a single carriageway towards the road leading to Mosta and St. Paul’s Bay. After 2 kms you will again meet another roundabout – head straight for St. Paul’s Bay (the road to the left takes you to Mgarr whereas the one to the right takes you to Mosta). Keep following this road until you come to an intersection where you can go either left or right. Turn left towards St. Paul’s Bay (right will take you towards Mosta). Around 200m down the hill, the road keeps on going straight but you have to keep on the main road which veers towards the right and keep on following the road down the hill. Here there is a speed camera so maintain low speed. Here you will be passing the village of Burmarrad where you will also pass a church onto your right. Keep on this road for another 2 kms after the church and again you will meet another large roundabout. Here you have to continue going straight (do not take the road up on the left as this will take you to Xemxija) nor the one on the right as this will take you to Bugibba and St. Julians, but head straight. As you veer slightly towards the left you will see a petrol station to the left and then immediately afterwards another one to the right. Proceed for another 200m where you will see a wooden kiosk on the right hand side; take this turning and follow the road for another 300m, passing a Melita shop on the right along the way. Halfway down this road, you will see the San Pawl Hotel in front of you – take the turning on the left and proceed slowly (many stop signs along the way); this road will bring you to the promenade and so you should start to be seeing the sea and St. Paul’s Islands from here. When you get to the end of the road, with Portobello restaurant on the right, turn left where you will see what is a concrete flight of stairs (leading from the top of St. Paul’s Bay to where the road below is). You should now try to park at this location (between the white lines) or just round the corner, as this is where the apartment is located.
