How to get there

My houseboat is located at the Nieuwe Prinsengracht, around the corner of Royal Theater Carré.

From the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol it takes you about 30 minutes to my place when you take na taxi and it costs you about 40€.

When traveling by public transport it takes you about 60 minutes, taking into account some extra transfer time. Per person the train ticket costs you about 4,20€ to get to Amsterdam Central Station. From there the metro is 1,21€ per person to get to metro station Weesperplein. An easy walk of 5-10 minutes brings you to my houseboat.

The houseboat is also easily accessible by car. Public (paid) parking places in the vicinity of the houseboat are available on the streets, though it might be so busy that all parking places are occupied.

Amsterdam’s digital parking system is what you’ll be using when parking on the street. It can get quite expensive (approx. 5€ per hour up to 7€ per hour in parking garages), but the system is straightforward to use: you need only enter your license plate into the meters, and pay with a local bank card or international credit card; cash or coins cannot be used in parking meters.

Getting around

Finding your way in Amsterdam is easy: from my place almost everything is in reach on walking distance. In my houseboat brochures with maps of the city are available. A tourist information point is located a few minutes walking from my place.
