Getting around
The Canary Islands region. As the northern most of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote lies approximately 70 miles from the west coast of Africa, and yet is only 4 hours flying time from the UK. From the breathtaking views at the most northern tip of the Island, to the golden sandy beaches of the South, whatever you decide to do, there is something for everyone. Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 30°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.
