Getting around
The EN266 road up to the town of Monchique follows tight bends through tall trees, eucaliptus, pine trees and mimosas which in the early spring are smothered in yellow blossom. The Monchique area is ideal for forest walks, hiking, mountain biking, bird and nature watching. Golf is also easy to find nearby like the Morgado Golf Course, Alamos and Penina. Just in 30minutes driving from the house in te west coast you can also find diferent kinds of water sports specialy windsurfing and surfing.
