If you are arriving by road and do not have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, then we suggest that you travel on the A895 (turn off the A9 at Helmsdale) and then turn right over a small bridge about 2 miles after passing Forsinard Hotel, followed by an immediate right turn. You will have to open and close 5 gates, none of which are locked, and then come to Lochdhu Lodge (also in Altnabreac - the big house with wind turbines) to collect the keys.
