How to get there
Dominica is a rugged Paradise and all guests are required to rent little Jeeps to properly explore the island and some of its rough roads, including our own. The higher clearance is necessary on rough roads.
Please reserve your vehicle before arriving at your port of entry, especially for night arrivals. If the rental office does not have scheduled reservations they may close the office and you will be required to take an awaiting taxi.
Hideaways is about 50-60 minutes from the main Douglas-Charles Airport (formerly called Melville Hall)
And 50-60 minutes from Roseau's Canefield Airport and the Ferry Terminal.

Getting around
Dominica is a rugged Paradise and all guests are encouraged to rent little Jeeps to properly explore the island and some of its rough roads, including our own. Local buses are an inexpensive option but be aware that these privately operated mini-vans usually stop service shortly after dark and it can be challenging in remote areas of the island and on weekends as fewer buses are operating. You may be required to arrange tours with a local company or hire a taxi.
