Getting around
Car is recommended only if you plan to explore Crete. From Chania can take bus to every village on Chania prefecture and to all major cities on Crete. Many daily buses to famous dastinations such as Samaria gorge, Elafonissi, Balos, Falasarna, Sfakia, Palaiochora.... The bay, reminiscent lagoon has white sand and turquoise shallow waters. The contrast of the wild mountain landscape with the beautiful calm beach makes Stavros a unique place for swimming. The second beach of Stavros is located northwest of the village in just 300 meters west of the central beach and it is quite and less crowded.
