How to get there
A car is a necessity in this area. If flying in from elsewhere, the nearest airport is Aberdeen (45 miles) and there is also Inverness airport(75). Although this is a few miles further it is an easy direct route along just a few roads. Both airports offer car hire.
The cottage itself, although considered quite rural is actually on a good road, the A97. It makes an easy base for exploring the area. The coast and lovely beaches are a short drive away. Just 4 miles to Whitehills and 5 miles to Banff. Provisions are available in nearby Aberchirder (3 miles)

Getting around
As I said previously, a car and a sat nav are your best bet to get around. The roads are excellent and everywhere you drive is beautiful.
