How to get there
The nearest small town is Pozzuolo, the nearest large town is Castiglione del Lago. We are about 15 minutes drive away from the superstar, and 20 minutes from the autostrada at Chiusi. The house is in a village between these two places, so easy to find and we'll send you detailed access instructions when you book. Castiglione del Lago is 10 minutes drive away, to give you an idea, Pozzuolo just 2 minutes drive. The main Rome to Florence (north/south) train line stops at Castiglione del Lago.The east/west train line stops at Passignano just around the lake. Perugia airport is a short drive away, close to Assisi.

Getting around
You really need a car to fully explore the area properly. That said, there is a bus stop at the end of the lane (100m) which takes you to Castiglione del Lago or Pozzuolo. The area around Trasimeno Lake is perfect for cyclists - the hills are challenging - but not too challenging! Contact us for more info - my husband is a keen cyclist who loves cycling in this area.
