How to get there
Situated on Magnetic Island 8.5 km of the Townsville North Queensland coast.
Walk on or drive your car on the Magnetic Island Ferries barge, who also offer secure parking in Townsville for car and caravan or catch the fast ferry Sealink and be on the island in 25 minutes.
From the Townsville Airport get the airports shuttle bus to the passenger ferry terminal.
Once on Magnetic Island catch one of the 19 bus services a day to the entrance of Shambhala just a short 5 minute ride.
Walk to Shambhala if the weather is mild and your luggage is light takes 20 minutes.
Catch a taxi for about $6 dollars.

Getting around
There are 19 public bus services a day that run across the island and back. Public Taxis including wheelchair accessible maxi taxi’s and many private car rental businesses 4WD, motorbike and scooter hire available. There is boat hire, tours and sail trips available, bus tours and walking! We will soon have a wheelchair accessible 10 seater bus for hire.
