Just a 5 min. drive to the Banff town site or a 30 min. walk along paved walking path. There is lots to do walking around town including shopping, horse and buggy carriage tours or canoeing on the Bow River. Enjoy many restaurants, from fine dining to casual roof top pub or street cafes. The free hourly shuttle between the resort and town is really handy...no need to worry about finding parking or enjoying a few drinks;) A car is recommended to see more of the beautiful nearby sites like Johnson Canyon or Lake Louise (just 40 min. away).
