You definitely need a car. A GPS is very helpful. With the car you can visit Kamena Vourla a spa town 10 klm away that has a vibrant 24 hour life. From there you could visit Lichades. Tropical style islands and spend the day on the beach. Boats take you there and take you back at certain times. You can visit Thermopylae and the monument of Leonidas 15 klm away, You can go to Agios Konstantinos 7 klm from the house.
