How to get there
Getting to us is quite straightforward. Stansted is an hour away, there is a good railway service via Cambridge and Ipswich and the A14 is 10 mins drive.
If coming from London we have found it best to stay on the A 14 until junction 43 , signed Risby, and then come across country via Flempton to West Stow.
It is just as quick as using the A11 and less stressful.
Please note we share a drive with West Stow Stud which has a security camera. At the end of the drive turn left and park in front of the Hall.
The cottage is found by going up the steps, across the lawn and into the Orchard. The gravel path will lead you directly to it. There is automatic lighting which comes on in the evening. The cottage will be open with the keys inside so no need to worry about being able to get in whenever you arrive.

Getting around
Bury St. Edmunds, a lovely, historic town, which is well worth a visit is only a 15 mins drive whilst Cambridge, Newmarket and Lavenham are 30 mins away. All are accessible by public transport. There is a frequent train service and good bus service from Bury. We are ideally suited for visiting many NT properties including Ickworth, Long Melford and Anglesey Abbey. The heritage coast including Aldeburgh, Southwold and Holkham make very enjoyable days out.
