How to get there
Arriving by car, take Wooda Road on the right before getting to Appledore following signs to the Shipyard. Follow the road round through Hubbastone Road to Newquay Street and the house is on the right after Middle Dock. If you miss the Wooda turning take Newquay Street by the Community Centre and Richmond Dock.
If arriving by Public Transport by train or bus at Barnstaple a taxi will take 25 minutes or a bus over an hour with a change at Bideford.

Getting around
Walk to Bideford along the coast path or to Westward Ho via Irsha street and West Appledore beach. Perhaps take the bus back. Or take the ferry to Instow and hire a bicycle to Torrington or Barnstaple. Or stay at the house and fish from the wall on the incoming tide or bird watch at low tide. However for further afield exploration you need a car.
