With Hertz, Europcar & Avis available in Chiusi (25 mins away) and good trains from Rome & Bologna it is possible to avoid motorway driving.

Car: It is essential to have a car when staying at Casa Fontana. Though there is a village within easy walking distance, there is no public transport.

Train: The train station at Chiusi is 20 minutes drive away with excellent fast trains to Florence and Rome.

Casa Fontana is located close to Panicale, a Medieval hill-top town with excellent restaurants and services, Lake Trasimeno with great water-sports & golf and within easy reach of many, many historical and cultural sites.
