Nearest airport is Cluj-Napoca (126km)
A 2.5 hour drive (117 km) from Cluj-Napoca International Airport on the E58 via Dej, Galgau and Targu Lapus.
From Galgau, take the 109F via Baba & Coroieni to reach Targu Lapus.
From Targu Lapus it is another 25-minute drive (18 km); take the DJ171C through the villages of Rogoz then Libotin to reach Cupşeni.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Mon - Friday early-morning 6:40 am commuter bus leaves from in front of the village shop ( the big white building almost opposite the modern church) and takes you to Targu Lapus town and Baia Mare.
Later on, car taxi to Targu Lapus can be arranged for 100RON. Onward bus connections to Baia Mare & Cluj via FANY minibus
Getting around
Easiest access is by car or taxi pick up which can be arranged for €60/250 RON from Cluj Airport. If you are not driving your own car, rent one from Cluj or Baia Mare from €19/day. There is parking for 4 cars at Casa Carolina. PUBLIC TRANSPORT There is a 6:40am morning commuter bus Mon-Fri that goes to Baia Mare via Targu Lapus. The bus station is in front of the village shop. From Targu Lapus there are minibuses to Baia Mare Train Station and Cluj Central that leave during the day. Taxi to Targu Lapus is 80RON. Hitch hiking is very usual in this area usually by arrangement with the driver for a small fee. Nearest airport is Cluj-Napoca 2.5 h drove 117Km or Satu Mare.
