How to get there
Getting to Rote:
1. You can fly with Wings Air which serves Kupang-Rote route every day:
- The morning flight leaves Kupang at 06:40 and arrives on Rote at 07:10. It will leave for Kupang at 07:35;
- The afternoon flight leaves Kupang at 15:10 and arrives on Rote at 15:40. I will leave for Kupang at 16:05. Thus, if you fly from Java or Bali in the morning, you can reach Rote on the same day with the afternoon flight.
2. You can take the 2-hour daily express Ferry from Kupang, in Tenau harbour:
- It departs from Kupang for Rote at around 8:30;
- It leaves Rote for Kupang at about 11:30. There is also an express Ferry that leaves Rote in the morning, but the schedule often changes.

Getting around
Getting around the island: 1. A scooter bike costs 1 hundred thousand IDR/day. 2. A car without a driver costs three hundred thousand IDR/day or with a driver for four hundred thousand IDR/day. Things to note: 1. We don't rent transports such as ojek (scooter bike taxi) and cars but we can arrange them. You can negotiate with the owners about the cost and other arrangements. We are external to this transaction; 2. Please assure that the vehicle is in a good condition: technically and legally road worthy.
