How to get there

By Ferry via Santander or Bilbao: drive across Spain via Salamanca & Valadolid. Keep on road to Coimbra, then Continue South on A13-1 take exit onto A13, then exit towards Miranda do Corvo/Lousa.

By Road: (heading south from Porto) It will take approx 1 hour 30 mins: Use Sat-Nav to get out of Porto ! Head out of city of A28 towards Porto/A1/Lisboa, Continue south on A1 for about 80 miles. Take exit 11 towards N342/Lousa/Soure/Condexia. Continue South on A13-1 then take exit onto A13, then exit towards Miranda do Corvo/Lousa.

(Heading north from Lisbon) It will take approx I hour 45mins: Take E1 motorway north, Turn onto A23 towards Abrantes/C.lo branco/T.res Novas for a short stretch. Take turning North towards Tomar on A13 stay on this road (for about 40 miles) Take exit for Miranda do Corvo/Lousa.

From A13: Take turnings towards Miranda do Corvo at each of the 2 roundabouts, then the turning to Casais de Sao Clement is shortly after the 2nd roundabout on the left. Follow the road down through Urselhe until you get to our village.

By Air: We are about 2 hours from Porto airport and 2 ½ from Lisbon airport, so either can be used. Hire cars can be rented at the airports or connecting trains can be taken to Coimbra B station.

By Train: Trains run regularly from Lisbon Orient and Porto to Coimbra B station where cars can be rented from the Europcar office on the station platform, or a connecting train can be taken one stop to Coimbra A where a bus service is available.

By Bus: There is a bus service from directly outside Coimbra A station to the centre of Casais de Sao Clemente village or to the nearby town of Miranda do Corvo. Bus timetables can be provided on request.

Taxis are available to & from Coimbra and Miranda do Corvo.

Getting around

A car is recommended, but it is possible to use public transport. There is a daily bus service to Coimbra and also return busses to Miranda do Corvo on Wednesady (market day).
