There is a bus stop nearby on Hayles Avenue and the buses travel regularly in both directions to the ferry terminal, Picnic, Nelly and Horseshoe Bay. It's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to Nelly Bay on the walkway over the hill to the IGA supermarket. Hire cars are available at the ferry terminal on arrival, although it is best to book in advance to avoid disappointment, especially during school holidays. Taxi 131924 also pick up from the ferry terminal. Bring your own car on the Fantasea Cruising Magnetic Car Barge or take the Sealink passenger ferry. The ferry terminals are a ten minute taxi ride from Townsville airport.
