GETTING TO VOORTREKKER:

Driving from Sumburgh Airport:

We are 15 minutes, 8.8 miles, north from the airport. Driving north, follow the road out of the airport and turn right, sign posted (The North, Lerwick A970), 5 miles north you will arrive in Dunrossness, where you will find our local fully stock supermarket and petrol station, continue for about another 3.8 miles, once you pass a little yellow sign (THRS), you are nearly there. Look for the brown sign (Levenwick, Levenwick Beach) and turn right. Follow the road around a few bends until you see a sign (Southpunds), red bus shelter to the right, turn right. From the dip our house is second on the left, 3 vertically wooden clad buildings.

Drive right through to the external stairs, park up and come on in by the Welcome sign.

Driving from Lerwick Ferry:

We are roughly 25mins, 20 miles, south from the ferry. Driving south, turn left from the ferry parking, pass the Co-op Supermarket on your left, pass first small roundabout, at the next roundabout (Grants Garage on your left), turn right (North Lochside). At the end of the road turn right, roundabout (Tesco Supermarket directly across this road), stay on this road all the way to Levenwick. Once you pass the road sign (Bigton, St Ninians Isle, Spiggie, Scousburgh) you are really close, continue around two bends, the next area is Levenwick. There is a parking area to the left and enter the road to the left, drive right through Levenwick, pass the doctors surgery left, and mission hall right and shop, further on the road to bend and incline, at the top there is a red bus shelter on your left, road sign (Southpunds), turn left. From the dip our house is second on the left, 3 vertically wooden clad buildings. Drive right through to the external stairs, park up and come on in by the Welcome sign.

There are bus services that leave right from the Airport and the Ferry Terminal that will drop at the top of our road where we can fetch you from.
