How to get there

You can travel to the Isle of Wight by ferry leaving from Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington. Once on the Island you head for Sandown, which can be reached by train, or bus (which stops near the entrance to the site). Most people come over with their car where you can set the sat-nav for PO36 8QR, or alternatively head for Sandown, then head east up Yaverland road where you will find a sign for Sandown Bay Holiday Centre.

Once on the site, follow the road all the way to the end, round to the left and all the way to the end where you will see a parking area and head for the far top corner. You can park there which is just behind the Crow's Nest.

Getting around

The Isle of Wight's size makes getting to any of the attractions and sites pretty straightforward. For those with cars, nothing can be more than about 30 minutes away, but within 5 minutes you have the beaches, Zoo, Dinosaur Isle, Bembridge Downs, Culver Cliff, Sandown Pier and all the restaurants, pubs and shops that Sandown town centre has to offer. The bus service is available from near the entrance to the site, just a couple of minute's walk from the Crow's Nest. Sandown train station would be about 30 minutes walk away.
