How to get there
My property is accessed via Puerto Jimenez. There is a small local airport in town that both Sansa and NatureAir fly from the capital of San Jose. Many guests fly the 45 minute jumper flight and either rent a car in town or take a taxi to the house. It is generally a 30-45 minute drive on a dirt road (18km) depending on the road conditions. If you choose to drive from San Jose it is a 6 hour drive and you will see some beautiful country.
Getting around
You can walk to many of the local beaches from my house. I personally like to have a car to run to town or go see other sites that may be a little off the beaten path. There are taxis available but they take pre-planning and it is about $40 from town to my house one way. I recommend for bigger groups that it is worth having a small SUV car to really take advantage of the area.
