How to get there
Take a taxi from just outside the airport arrivals terminal and ask the driver for the 'Gaudia' complex, Caleta de Fuste, it should take approx 10 minutes and cost no more than €15. If your hiring a car, take the road from the airport and follow the signs for Caleta de Fuste, a little way on as you pass the roundabout signposted for Costa de Antigua, Caleta de Fuste will come into sight on the left with a predominantly white and green complex on the front corner, this is the 'Gaudia' complex, as you approach the resort you will come to a roundabout with a black castle on and the bus station on your right. Turn left at this roundabout into the resort and after 100 meters you will pass 'El Patio' restaurant on your left hand side, turn left here and then left again at the junction and 100 meters up on your right you will find the 'Gaudia' complex
Or alternatively, take the number 3 bus that runs every 30 minutes from the airport to the bus station at Caleta de Fuste and costs €1 45c
Getting around
Taxi's are a really good cheap way to get around and are all metered and very reasonable, they operate a 3 tier pricing system, local, intermediate and long distance. There is a regular bus service which operates to all points on the island from the local bus station, a bus to the airport is €1 45c and the capital of Fuerteventura is Puerto del Rosario and the bus fare is the same €1 45c. To the north of Fuerteventura is Correlejo where you will pass through the stunning sand dunes, well worth a bus ride and to the south there is Morro Jable with its kilometres of golden sandy beaches There is a plethora of car hire companies both in the resort and in the airport, varying in price, so shop around.
