Getting around

Most of the town is within easy strolling distance. Dona Maria has a small restaurant right on the beachfront corner, and there is a tienda on the same block. Inexpensive local taxis and buses can be hailed within a 6 block walk, and motorcycle taxis ("motos") will take you anywhere in the village for 50 cents. Manager Tamy can give you more choices, such as personalized tours, boat trips, parapente (parasailing) lessons or securing a driver for day trips, sightseeing or errands. You may wish to rent a car for at least a few days independent travelling, but it is not necessary.
