Vafes is a central village almost equidistant between Chania, Rethymno and the south coast and all throats!
Getting around
Buses are rare in Crete so as soon as one moves away from the main East-West axis, a car is essential. I have stated on the website that the airport of Chania / Chania which is nearest to but Heraklion, with many more flights are only an hour and a half right and easy way!
