How to get there

Paxos is predominantly accessed via Corfu International Airport. You can fly into Corfu International Airport from most major European cities.

Should you be immediately connecting onwards to Paxos you should catch a taxi from Corfu International Airport to Corfu New Port. The journey is around 20 minutes and should cost around E10-E20.

There are two major boat transfer companies that operate from Corfu to Paxos, namely Kamelia Lines and Ilida. Both operate a few times a day against a seasonal schedule. Contact details are:

Kamelia Lines operates two boats; Despina and Christa. Contact details are available upon request. Their Corfu office is located opposite the New Port and Café Sette Venti). Their Paxos office is located in Gaios. The Kamelia Lines total journey time is around 120 minutes and currently costs €28 EUR each way per person.

ILIDA is a hydrofoil ferry service - Flying Dolphin. Contact details are available upon requiest. Their Corfu office is located opposite the New Port and Café Sette Venti). Their Paxos office is located in Gaios. The Ilida journey time is around 60 minutes and currently costs approximately €32 EUR each way per person.

Directions to Paxos StoneHouse from the Paxos New Port:

1. Head south / west out of the port turning up the hill towards GAIOS.

2. Follow the winding hillside road; to your left you will see the port town of GAIOS.

3. At the T-Junction left onto Epar.Od. Loutra-Lakkas towards GAIOS.

4. Follow the road down to the bottom of the hill - You will see:

1. Police station on left hand side

2. Alfa car rental on Left hand side

3. Green Motion car rental on right hand side

4. Bus stop on right hand side

5. Follow the road round the U Bend and head south / west up the hill towards VELIANITATIKA.

6. You will see Carnayo Restaurant and BP garage on left hand side. After about 1km you will see Paxos Club Resort on the right hand side.

7. Turn left into Epar.Od. Loutra-Lakkas towards OZIAS.

8. After about 500m you will see a small white church on the left hand side.

9. Turn right up the small road; follow the road up, down and round to the left.

10. It is now a dirt track. Follow the road up the hill; take the first right onto a cement road.

11. PAXOS STONEHOUSE is the first house on the right hand side.

12. The parking platform is on the right hand side above the house.

Getting around

Paxos offers a range of transportation options. There are around 8 taxi / transfer vehicles on Paxos as well as a bus that operates on a daily schedule between Gaios, Lakka and Loggos and multiple car / scooter / quad bike operators. If you want to hire a scooter [50cc, 125cc, 250cc] you need a motor bike license. If you want to hire a car or quad bike you need a motor vehicle license. Some nationals need international drivers licenses. There are a range of cars available for hire; small compact through larger and Jimmy Jeeps. Cycling is also popular on Paxos; some of the car / quad / scooter rental companies also hire out bicycles. Walking is also very popular - Paxos is an easy and pleasant walking destination
