Getting around
A car is recommended but not needed. You can walk throughout Saugatuck and even to Douglas (depending on your determination). The chain ferry can take you across the river and Oval Beach is a half mile walk. You can avoid parking costs if you walk. If you have a young child with a stroller the walk can be intimidating as the road doesn't have sidewalks.
