Airport PORT ELIZABETH

How to get there

FROM THE N2 HIGHWAY TO PARADISE 1 & 2 (34 LORSTAN AVENUE)

IF YOU ARE USING GPS BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:

1.Coming from Cape Town/Knysna on the N2 your gps might instruct you to take the Humansdorp turnoff to get to Paradise Beach instead of the Jeffrey's Bay turnoff which is about 10 kilometres further. This is because this is a quicker route (by about 10 minutes), but is is on an untarred (dirt) road which can be slippery when wet. I recommend that you do not take this turnoff but rather continue to the Jeffrey's Bay one (large white wind turbines on your left).

2.Coming from Port Elizabeth on the N2 there is a turnoff marked ‘Mondplaas Jeffrey's Bay East’ which is about 10 kilometres before the main Jeffrey's Bay turnoff. Do not take this one but continue on to the main turnoff (large white wind turbines on your right).

IF YOU ARE NOT USING GPS THEN USE THESE DIRECTIONS:

• From the N2 Highway take the Jeffreys Bay turnoff (not ‘Jeffrey's Bay East’ if coming from Port Elizabeth).

• This will place you on ‘St Francis Street’ which runs down towards the sea.

• Continue down St Francis for approximately 2 kilometres, passing the ‘Fountains’ Shopping Mall on your right after the 2nd circle.

• After the 3rd circle continue for 800 meters and turn right into ‘Koraal’ Street at the ‘JeffreysRus Retirement Village’ on your right.

• Continue down Koraal Street for 1.5 kilometres, going through one stop street. At the 2nd stop street take a sharp right into ‘Dolphin Drive’ and the sign pointing to ‘Aston Bay; Marina Martinique and Paradise Beach’. Directly opposite this stop street and turn is a radio mast and a sign that reads ‘Kouga Steel’.

• Continue along Dolphin, through a circle and then through an informal settlement. Be careful here of children and animals next to the road. Continue past the ‘Kings College’ school on your right and through some open fields for 1 kilometre. Pass ‘Aston Manor Supermarket’ on your right and continue to the stop street.

• At the stop street turn sharp right onto ‘Swan Drive’. The street name sign is not easy to see. Head down towards the lagoon.

• At the next stop street turn right at the sign that reads ‘Paradise Beach’ and cross the bridge over the lagoon.

• After crossing the bridge follow the road for 300 metres until you reach the T-junction with ‘Immergroen Avenue’.

• Turn left into Immergroen and then immediately first right into ‘Johan Muller Boulevard’.

• Follow Johan Muller for 2.5 kilometres. Johan Muller changes to ‘Protea’ at the intersection with ‘Marina’ on the left. Keep right and stay on Protea.

• Follow Protea for 300 metres and turn left at the stop street into ‘Barracuda’ Road.

• Follow Barracuda for 100 metres and turn left into ‘Lorstan Avenue’.

• Number 34 (Paradise 1 & 2) is 100 metres further on the right. The house is easily visible directly ahead and high on the hill.
