Getting around
Stamford is best seen on foot, the cobbled streets, narrow alleyways and hidden shops, restaurants and bars, are peppered among the beautiful historic buildings. To drive in and out is nice and easy, with the A1 within a 2-minute drive. The main train station is around a 2 minute walk of the apartments and regular trains run through to Peterborough and onto London. For a more novel day-trip you could try the Nene Valley Railway. Regular steam trains operate over the line to Peterborough, a return trip of 15 miles
