Kefalonia is a large Island (780 km2). A car is preferable but, a bus can be caught on the main road 2mins walk from Villa. Go into town (Argostoli) and you can catch tour buses and ferries from there. You can spend weeks just driving around seeing all the sights. eg. A lot of beaches are within 10 km from our Villa, but as you travel around outside this distance you have access to 36 beaches (some with water sports) and other interests such as... Ancient Sites, Museums, Small villages, Mountain Forests, Horse Riding, Fresh Water Lake and Caves. From the Island you can book boat trips to other Greek Islands. Greece has a large number of Islands, estimated between 1200 to 6000 depending on the size. The number being inhabited are 227.
