How to get there
By car - I have some Red Funnel voucher codes and a Wightlink sometimes offer my guests 10-15% discount. However it has been known that guests book the cheapest possible camp site or caravan with Away Resorts that includes the ferry- and then book my little house to stay in!
By rail and then using taxis and buses is the best way though! A family railcard, or Network railcar or group together will always include the ferry crossing at Ryde if you ask for Ryde Esplanade (via Portsmouth Harbour).

Getting around
Bikes along the seafront are easy to hire. Walking to Seaview, Ryde town or to Quarr is easy and mostly on the level. We advise the Southern Vectis bus tour to explore if you have time. They do a round the island route that you can hop on and off with a day or 3 day pass.
